The Divine Street UMC Preschool is designed to provide the greatest optimal environment for preschool children.

The Divine Street UMC Preschool Program is designed to minister to the needs of the children by providing each child with:

An enticing environment for creative learning experiences through free-play, music, stories, and arts and crafts, in a Christian surrounding.
A structured environment to foster social interaction, physical development, and emotional expression in a loving Christian atmosphere.
A positive learning experience, stressing a good self-image and development of each child's talents and abilities.
Chapel with the pastor each week with a Bible story and songs.

The ability to grow and learn to assume personal responsibility of self and others.

Development of understanding, attitude, and skills appropriate for the child's particular age.
Opportunities to observe, learn, and apply new skills through the serious business of play.
Play situations which encourage creativity and imagination.
Kindergarten readiness including learning sight words, writing, problem solving, math, science, self-care skills, and social skills.

Openings still available for 4-year-olds in our 3 Day Class and 4 Day Class.

4-Day Preschool
4 and 5-year-olds who turn 5 after August 31
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

All 2 Day, 3 Day, and 4 Day students must be completely potty trained.

Divine Street UMC completely supports the program through use of the facilities and administration. In addition, it is the desire of Divine Street UMC to provide the best possible staffing conditions for our teachers to assure minimal staffing turnover.
