Joint Pastor Jacob Dye
Pastor Jacob is from Southwest Virginia. He attended undergrad at Emory & Henry College, and he graduated from Duke Divinity School in 2021. At Duke, he was a Thriving Rural Fellow, and he graduated with a certificate in Food, Faith, and Environmental Justice. Pastor Jacob is a member of the North Carolina Annual Conference Creation Care Committee. He was ordained as an Elder of the United Methodist Church in 2024.
Before coming to Divine Street, he previously served as pastor at Bethel UMC and Gray Rock UMC in Kittrell. He and his wife, Grayson have a bernedoodle named Daisy and are expecting their first child in July. Pastor Jacob’s favorite passage of Scripture is Philippians 2:3-5. He enjoys fishing, hunting, cooking, reading, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball.
