Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant serves at the heart of the church’s daily life, helping create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. This ministry-minded role supports the mission of the church by tending to the everyday rhythms of the office – greeting visitors with hospitality, guiding communication with care, and keeping our shared life organized. Working closely with the pastors, staff, and ministry leaders, the Administrative Assistant helps ensure that our ministries run smoothly, our messages are clear, and our church remains a place where people feel supported, known, and welcomed.
Status: Part-time, salaried
Hours: Part time, about 25 hours per week. Current hours are 8am-1pm, Monday-Friday; can be adapted in cooperation with applicant.
Benefits: Two weeks paid vacation. Salary based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Office & Administrative Support
Receive church office communication by phone, mail, email, and in person.
Provide administrative support to the pastor and ministry staff, including preparing reports and Charge Conference materials.
Oversee office supplies, equipment, and basic technology needs.
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems, including congregational data, attendance records, and contact information.
Communication & Publications
Prepare and distribute the weekly bulletin, newsletter, and other communications in print and digital formats.
Support church-wide communication efforts including email updates, social media posts, and announcements.
Scheduling & Coordination
Manage the church calendar, including facility reservations, ministry events, and building use requests.
Coordinate scheduling for weddings, funerals, special services, and church-wide events in collaboration with pastor, staff, and ministry leaders.

Show professionalism, hospitality, and a spirit of teamwork.
Manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively.
Qualifications:
Ability to work well with staff, volunteers, and diverse groups within the church.
Strong organizational and clear communication skills.
Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Canva, etc.) and willing to learn new systems.
Ability to work independently, prioritize task, and adapt to changing ministry needs.
Experience in an office or administrative setting
